1. Introduction
Welcome to Paytogeda ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Paytogeda website, mobile applications, APIs and other products and services provided by Paytogeda (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Definitions
In these Terms:
- Account — your registered account on Paytogeda.
- User — any person or entity accessing or using the Service.
- Project — a fundraising, savings, or payment activity created or managed through Paytogeda.
- Partner Banks — banks and payment partners we may use to process payments (Wema Bank, UBA and others).
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction) and legally capable of entering into contracts to use the Service. By creating an Account you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
4. Account Registration & Security
- You must provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information when registering an Account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your Account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.
- We may suspend or terminate Accounts for misuse, suspected fraud or violation of these Terms.
5. Services, Payments & Fees
Paytogeda provides tools to create and manage Projects, accept contributions and make withdrawals. Payment processing is performed by our payment partners and banks. By using the Service you agree to the following:
- Payment instructions you submit are final and irreversible except where law or our policies permit refunds.
- We may charge fees for certain transactions. Applicable fees will be disclosed to you before you complete the transaction.
- We may use third-party payment processors and partner banks (Wema Bank, UBA). Your interactions with those providers are governed by their terms as well as ours.
6. Contributions, Withdrawals & Refunds
- Contributions made to Projects are subject to the rules set by the Project creator and these Terms.
- Withdrawal requests are subject to verification, available balance, and anti-fraud checks. We may require identity verification for withdrawals.
- Refunds are permitted only in accordance with our Refund Policy or as required by law. We are not liable for voluntary refunds promised by a Project owner unless we explicitly control the funds and state otherwise.
7. User Conduct
When using the Service you must not:
- Use the Service for illegal or fraudulent activity;
- Post harmful, abusive, defamatory or infringing content;
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or private areas of the Service;
- Interfere with, degrade, or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service.
8. Prohibited Items & Activities
Projects or transactions that facilitate the following are prohibited and will be blocked or removed:
- Illegal goods or services;
- Hate speech, extremist content, sexual exploitation;
- Gambling, sale of regulated goods where prohibited by law;
- Any activity that violates applicable laws or our policies.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on the Service, including logos, text, images and software, is owned or licensed by Paytogeda. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal data. By using the Service you consent to our data practices described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that the Service will be error-free. We do not warrant the accuracy or reliability of user-generated content, Projects, or the conduct of other users.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paytogeda and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for direct damages will not exceed the amounts you have paid to Paytogeda in the 12 months preceding the claim, or, if none, the sum of NGN 10,000 (or equivalent), whichever is greater.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Paytogeda harmless from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses arising out of your breach of these Terms or your use of the Service.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms, suspected fraud, or for any lawful reason. You may close your Account at any time via your Account settings; termination does not relieve you of obligations incurred prior to termination.
15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Country] without regard to its conflict of laws principles. You and Paytogeda will attempt to resolve disputes informally. If we cannot, disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Ibadan, Nigeria, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We may modify these Terms from time to time. If changes are material we will notify you by posting notice on the Service or by other reasonable means. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
